R.I.P. Bob Passmore

Monday, December 14, 2015 

Former member Bob Passmore died Friday after a long illness. If you didn’t know him, he was:

  • A 15-20 year member running both Fire and Ambulance.
  • A Fire line officer.
  • Had multiple years where he responded to every fire call.
  • Was firefighter of the year in 1963.
  • Was one of approximately 10 family members who ran with Llanerch Fire Company.


Wednesday December 16th:  

Viewing 1800-2000 at Stretch Funeral home Eagle Rd.

Thursday December 17th:  

Viewing from 1000 to 1100 and short service at Stretch at 11:00 a.m.




Tuesday, December 8, 2015  Santa Claus is coming......to Llanerch! The LFC will be escorting the jolly guy in red on Sunday, December 13th. He will start around noon and make his way through our section of town. Keep an ear out! Candy canes and treats for all. So you better be good for goodness sake!

Friday, August 7, 2015  Hero Day at Marple Sports. Llanerch was asked to join Broomall, Bon Air, Marple PD and Ambulance to show the kids what we do. Some of the hundreds of children are shown here trying on gear. More pictures can be found on our Llanerch Fire Co Facebook Page.



Keeping Cool

Sunday, July 26, 2015  We visited the Chatham Park School summer recreation program kids this week.

The kids toured the truck, took home fire prevention swag and got wet while learning hose handling techniques.



MVA Kohls

Monday, June 8, 2015  At 3:10pm this afternoon  Company 34, Rescue 38, Rescue 56 and 108-7A were dispatched to West Chester Pike entrance of Kohls for a MVA with possible entrapment

34-9 ( Chief Millay) arrived with 2 vehicle accident with a mini van on it's side   no entrapment. 34-9 held the response to 34-2 and EMS. There were no injuries 34-2 stood- by til vehicles were removed.  




Passing of Margaret Greenfield

Sunday, June 7, 2015  It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Margaret Greenfield. Margaret was the wife of  Past Chief Gordon Greenfield. Margaret was also active with the fire company in the late 40s and 50s with the Ladies Auxillary. Margaret  is the mother of Gary Greenfield from Manoa Fire Company. Her services where June 6, 2015 at the Logan Funeral Home in Havertown. The family request donation be sent to the Vitas Hospice.   




Friday, May 15, 2015  Tuesday evening Judge Burke stopped by Llanerch Fire House to swear in Patti Harnwell and Nikki Harnwell as our 2  New Fire-Police Officers. Patti and Nikki just   attended the Fire-Police course at Montgomery County Fire Academy last month. Congrats to Patti and Nikki.
