A SURPRISE VISIT
Date: 12/20/05 Tonight, members of Girl Scout Troop #166 stopped by the station to pay a visit, and brought along some unexpected treats! The girls baked cookies and sang Christmas Carols to the members. In return, they were given a tour of the station and the apparatus. I think the members made out in the deal; the cookies did not last very long. Thanks again to the girls from Troop #166!

SANTA TOURS LLANERCH
Date: 12/18/05 Santa made his rounds through the Llanerch fire district today. Both young and old had huge smiles on their faces as Santa went street by street handing out candy canes, bubble gum, and fire prevention materials to all the good boys and girls. Although his feet were a little tired by the end of the day, he says rest assure, he'll be well rested by next Sunday!

SANTA CLAUS IS COMING...
Date: 12/18/05 Santa will be visiting the neighborhoods in the Llanerch section of Haverford Township on Sunday, December 18th. Santa will set out around 11:30 a.m., working his way through the streets on the Llanerch Fire Company apparatus. Be sure to have your lists ready! Santa, his elves, and the members of Station #2 will be handing out candy canes to all the good boys and girls! So keep an ear out for the sirens and Christmas music, and you better be good for goodness sake!!!

OOPS!
Date: 12/5/05 Brookline Fire Company was in need of a place to keep their new ladder truck with the winter weather that was on the way. They had been keeping the old L3 outside of their firehouse and the new one inside, but didn’t want to leave the old L3 outside in the snow since it was still in service until the new truck is ready. We were glad to help them out by rearranging our apparatus to make room for their truck, but ……. …we are not sure if it was the fact that it’s the Christmas time of year, or that we get a little more sunlight on our firehouse which caused the truck to finally turn ripe…. But overnight, L3 went from “Slime Lime” to the color RED!!!!!! We apologize to our brothers and sisters at Brookline for the change in color, but we personally think it looks pretty sharp!!
