Tonight, Deputy Chief Millay returned to his alma mater as a guest on 99.9 FM, WHHS. WHHS is Haverford High School's radio station which is operated by the students. DC Millay was a guest on the James & Gino Show. Topics covered included general fire safety, volunteering in the HTBF, college campus fire safety, and the National Incident Management System (NIMS). In the future, we hope to work with WHHS on some public service announcements (PSAs) and recruitment promos for the volunteer fire/EMS services of the HTBF. Thanks again to James and Gino for having DC Millay as a guest. |

| HAPPY ANNIVERSARY EMS |

Today celebrates 56 years of the Llanerch Fire Company serving Haverford Township with an ambulance service. 4/1/50 was the date that the LFC expanded the fire service to include a 1948 Buick ambulance. 12 men and 8 women provided EMS care to the residents of the district. Dues at that time were $1.50 for members living inside Llanerch's fire district, and $3 to those living outside the district. Our service continues to this day with 2 ambulances staffed by over 40 members. The LFC looks forward to another 50 years and beyond of dedicated EMS service. |
